Default payload

i was wondering if anybody knew off hand the exact or close to it payload of an 88 dodge d-150 with an eight foot box.

You could probably haul 2,000 if you don't mind slow acceleration and the rear squatting. I've had 1800 in the bed of my Ranger...drug the mudflaps all the way home but I made it.

Well, With my 83 D-150 And a Slant Six, I had over a ton of sand in the bed, It didnt squat it that much, And We've haulled cars and trailers of mulch and other crap, Didnt really kill speed or nothing.
