1989 Ramcharger won't shift out of low gear
I recently aquired a 1989 ramcharger with 150000 miles and had no problems. Drive home from work one day and transmission stays in low gear and doesnt shift to 2nd or third. Fluid is not burnt or low. Has a A727 transmission. Has anyone encountered this problem before. Maybe I need new tranny. Thanks.

Check throttle / kickdown linkage. May need an adjustment or are corroded. Those parts may still be availible at the dealer.
Also the bands may need to be adjusted.
Specs can be found for both adjustments in the Factory service manual or online.
