Default fixed OD on my 93 ctd

my over drive went away2 weeks a go. last week it started to work intermittently after i cleaned the TPS.

ended up disconnecting the TPS and installing a potentiometer* in the dash panel .

this allows you to dial in when your OD engages. anywhere from 35mph to 60mph.

your OD button still turns OD off .

this is very helpful when towing too

* supplies total $20 or less. if you have the soldering iron, solder, and heat shrink...
(new TPS $200+ retail)

potentiometer..$2.99 at radio shack

pin set for TPS connector ...$1.99 at radio shack

heat shrink....$4.00 at harbor frieght

solder iorn...(if needed) $20 most places ...usu has solder in kit.

multi conductor cable..24AWG minimum ...various prices...avail at home depot, radio shack, etc..or use any of these stranded cables: cat5 patch cable, 3-wire power cord up to 16AWG copper (old extension cords.etc), hvy guage speaker cable, or any other stranded 3-conductor cable minimum 24awg..
