Contrary to popularbeleifthe standard shocks don't support any weight. The springs are probably a little weak. Then again, some 4x4s have a nose high stance anyway. Myold Ramcharger does, with 4' aftermarket springs.

yeah the shocks only absorb, well, the shock from the bump. the springs is what holds the bad boy up there. I had a similar problem with my '92, except it was just one side that sagged. so i installed some Superlift springs, which makes it sit with the stance of a dragster, increased the rear rigidity 100 times, and also increased my back pain.

Check your springs, make sure there's no broken ones, and your shackles/hangers to be sure there is no problem there.
If it bothers you, add a leaf, that'll raise it up a little. Or just replace the stock springs.

yeah leave it! you'll have a pre-runner 1st Gen hahah!!

no seriously tho, add a leaf, or add a lift. my springs were retardedly stiff because i had the overload leaf (flat one) in there still and blown out, garbage-*** shocks. i removed the overloadleaf, put some donahoe racing shocks on there (i worked at SDHQ at the time so "exotic" parts were cheap haha) and now they just need to be broken in a little. it takes about 1,000 miles i've heard. but the ride is better. so if you're gonna lift it, go all the way the first time and get rear springs, dont get taller blocks. its worth it. and if you are willing to replace the springs, might as well make it taller too right?
