I needed to weld the spring saddles in place, after I set the pinion angle. I also needed to jack it up to pull the gas tank, to replace the brake line along the frame, which was leaking.
Yup, the fluidlit up. Started burning between the frame and plastic gas tank. Fortunately, I keep an extinguisher handy when welding, so Igot it out quickly.
Then I dropped the tank. Just a little damage to the tail light wires, no problem I can replace them.
I did notice there's still original paint on the crossmembers above the fuel tank.
Lesson for the day; Keep an extinguisher handy, anytime you're using a torch or welder!
