Default installing an after market radio/wire woes

I removed the dash board removed the radio and I have some wires woes.. There are 2 to three wires that have been cut and spliced into the grey connector. I am missing the black connector and all those wires are gone. So i am very confused at the moment. I am studing the wire diagram of the service manual trying to figure out what the heck is wired wrong. Ill try to provide pictures and he diagram, hopefully I can figure it all out. I am also missing the wire pin connector for the map light.. very frustrating![:@]

well I figured out what all was rigged. I am still missing the black wire harness though.

I looked a after market wire harness for my truck it shows the grey harness and the black harness.

Do I need a stereo that has both connectors on the back?? or just with the grey connector on the back?

No you don't. If you know the wires, just splice them (not using the adaptor plug you can find at stores) to the plug that will come with an after market radio. Now if you plan to install an actuall Dodge radio, then yes, you will need the plugs.

I'm not sure what you are asking. Splice in the door, or deck,? Or are you trying to hook up 4 speakers when only 2 wires?

the black plug is for factory speaker system if you dont have it just means youll have to run speaker wire yourself from your new stereo to your speakers just follow wiring diagram that comes with stereo....the gray plug is for power to your stereo if you need color code break down let me know been through this one a bunch......and if you need a map light connector ive got one with wire....lol
