I just purchased new bucket seats for my 1985 Dodge D150, but I cant figure out how to get the bench seat out, if anyone can help me, Id appreciate it. There are no bolts , and I cant figure out how to do it. Thanks
There are studs that go down through the floor. You have to get them from underneath. Often they break off, but since you're putting in new seats, it won't matter.
there should be two studs on each side of the vehicle, two on the drivers side under the vehicle same goes for the passenger side which means if you put the buckets in you will have to drill holes if i remember right, they might be plugs but you are probably gonna have to drill the holes for the inner studs of the bucket seats if needed
Thanks for the help. I got the bench seat out, and am in the process of putting down new carpetting and the bucket seats in, will post pics when finished.
When you bolt the new seats in, put some 4' square x 1/8' thick plates on the floor where the bolts go through. Otherwise the floor is prone to cracking out around the bolts. It's pretty thin.
