Default 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport Transmision Problems?? Any Help???

I just recently have been having transmission problems with my truck... Today it didnt move at all in any gear. I checked the fluid and it was full. I dont know what the problem is if its donesky or what. I have troubleshooted what I know from being a small time mechanic.

If anybody could help, one guy I know out here Jeff his name is said it could be my U Joints on my driveshaft but would that make it go no where???

If anybody could help me I would appreciate it. If its done for good then that would be nice to know. How much would a new transmission cost??

Well, you're in the first gen section, older than '93, so you might want to go to the 2nd gen section. If a u-joint is bad, it will still move, unless the driveshaft fell out.
How does the linkage feel? Maybe it fell apart.
Does it try to move, or just free rev like in park/nuetral?
Will it roll in nuetral?
How does the fluid smell/look?
Any odd noises?

Also, if the rear end is totally shot, that could cause it (probably the trany though). I never like to assume though so I'll ask, does the drive shatf spin?
