Water in the Distributor
Hey y'all,
I decided to take my car to get it washed yesterday. Boy was that a big mistake. Although she looks all clean and pretty, I think I got water in the distibutor cap. A buddy of mine said that he used to have an old Dodge and it did the same thing everytime it rained or he went through a big puddle. Is this a common problem and if so, what can I do about it?
Thanks

i used to get water in my blazer's distributor and i never figured out why. wierdest thing is that it wasntnjessesarily related to rain or washing or anything. seemed more of a condensation thing. try using tyhat spray on ignition protector.
I've noticed some water on my distributor and air filter recently with all the rain we've had in the midwest. There's no weatherstripping on my truck between the cowling and hood...pretty sure that's where the water is getting in. Autozone has some self-adhesive weatherstripping $10 for 10 feet I might pick up soon and see if that helps.
