Default 1987 dodge D150

Hello; I'm new to the Mopar world. I have the aforementioned truck. It has a 318, however it should have a 360. I'm going to put it back to it's corrcet engine. Now Can i use a 5.9 from a 1995 1500 if i use a manifold and carb. or is there other problems i would run into. Thanks John

and the heads, from what ive seen the block looks the same it has the tabs on the side of the block for the engine mounts (you gona have to drill some holes i belive) but i dont know if the trany bolt holes are the same, and the timingchain cover may be diffrent, you could put an aftermarket intake on (dont thing that huge factory one is going to fit) and try out the injection on your truck??? all the exhust stuff is the same location though if that helps

The magnum oils the rocker arms thru the pushrods, the LA has a passage in the block and heads for that purpose.

If you use the magnum heads I think the LA manifold can be drilled to match the heads. The bolt holes are angled in the LA manifold & heads and straight down on the magnums.

Carbed manifolds are available for use with Magnum heads/mtrs. You'll need MPs flexplate, knock the weights off the converter. The balance is different on Magnums. There's no eccentric for the fuel pump so you'll need an electric pump. To use spool type mtr. mounts rob the frame brackets off an '88-'92 if your '87 [late]doesn't have 'em. Use the early water pump, the '95 turns backwards.

hello, new here, I have a 87 d-150 with a 96 mpi 360, computer and wire harness, works great. I still have the old 727 trans bolted to it, just cut a slot for the crank sensor. If can wire it in its a great combination.
