Default rearend shudder = needs friction modifier?

I'm noticing a pronouced shake/shudder from my junkyard 9.25" accelerating around tight right-hand turns, especially up slight hills. Is this normal chatter/shudder from the limited slip? I put in fresh synthetic 80w-90 and some off brand limited slip additive from autozone a few days ago but maybe it wasn't the right stuff?
