Default All-terrain tire question

Here in Kentucky it can snow a good lick, and last winter i had quite a few scares with my current sporty tire on my truck. The tire i have are those summer tire that are ok for good dry conditions. But get in any wet spots and your almost stalled, forget snow. So for this winter i am going to use my old rims to install some all-terrain tires for grip. Just some tire with some good all weather grip. But i want some GOOD tire, none of those so called allseasons. What is the biggest size i can fit under stock height 2wd with stock 15 inch wheels. Currently i am running 275/60R/15. Any suggestions on size or tires?
