Default B250 not starting

1991 Ram B250 van.
Was running fine then suddenly stopped starting.
Turns over well and strong but acts like it isn't getting gas.
You can hear the fuel pump going (it is only 2 months old), the fuel filter and many fuel lines are also < 2 mo. old.
EVR, thermostat, PCV, dist. cap and rotor, valve cover gaskets, and throttle spring just replaced (started fine after replacing. Replaced engine cover and won't start now). Can't find any loose connections. If I spray starter fluid in carb, it starts for a bit.
Past history (related or not) includes intermitent reading on spedometer and now when I go to start the spedo goes to 85MPH and wavers around there if key in ACC position. If I do the key on off thing for engine codes the spedo also jumps up and down to about 15MPH while engine codes are blinking (is this another code?). Engine codes I get are 12 and 33 (see previous thread). Also, oil pressure seemed to be reading high on highway before doing work and engine temp fluctuated. Planned to change oil next.

Update: No fuel pressure before the fuel filter so it seems that even though the fuel pump can be heard, it is not pumping or the fuel pump filter in the tank is clogged. ..?? Can it be anything else??

I would still like feedback on the spedo if anyone has any ideas or suggestions other than to drop the tank for the fuel problem....

Reckon the pump has blown off the hose? The other sounds like a bad ground.

Update:
It all seems to have been caused by a bad ground. The ground for the ASD (Automatic Shutdown) Relay mounted on the firewall was pretty rusted. The SBEC outputs the signal to the fuel pump and injectors, etc. via the ASD. I was hearing the fuel pump but it turns out that it was only working intermittently because of the bad ground. I'll see how things go, but it seems to be fine now.... The spedo does not jump up and down now when starting too. Cleaned up the ground on the Rt. front wheelwell too, but that seemed o.k. I'll continue to look for other grounds that may be bad.
Oil pressure still high, but have not changed the oil yet.
