This was a problem for years on both 2wd and 4wd. Check out this link and make sure th cab body mounts are not crushed.

they say "left" front. mine's on the driver's front, which is left for people in the car, but not looking at it.

Anybody used it before? Checked on dodgeparts.com and it shows it under the part# mentioned in the TSB. Price: 32.45 MSRP but they have it for 23.34. But the body mounts wouldn't cause the spring to actually compress more on the leaning side though would it? I heard another explanation today to. That the springs must be installed a certain way. That there is a mark or spot where you must line the springs coil end on the bottom with this mark or the springs will act different if not. I think bull**** but what do you guys think. I would think the spring can be installed anyway. But my installer is a veteran mechanic and i think would know his stuff. One springhas the end coil right in front while the leaning side ends off towards the wheel. Would this make a difference? Should i spin the spring to match?

that spring thing sounds like a lot of BS.

I think the thing about crushed body mounts is that there isnt anything wrong with the frame or suspesion, but its the entire fron clip that is leaning. Everytime i get into my truck on really cold days i do hear the body mounts duner the cab crunching so it could be they wear out, and mroe on the driver side since i barely have passengers. This would explain why it leans even if the frame and suspension look fine (which they do on mine).

Anyhow im taking my leaner to a front end specialist for a wheel alignment this week, since i hit an effing curb this last snowfall. These guys are good and they arent gonna make up lies to get my money so ill ask if they see anything odd....

I don't care what anyone says and no damm body mount is going to make the coil spring be compressed more on the one side. The mount would show a lean in the body to ground measurement as mine does but not a physically more compressed spring. I am just not convinvced this is the problem. Something has to be givng that spring a hell of alotof pressure to cause it to compress more. I fiqure a $40 fix ain't a whole lot. But i am concerned it may lift that sidemore then the other and jsut cause another damm problem. Mines been aligned three times now and my guy hasn't ntoice any problems getting it to align so he can't say anything is bent or twisted. Hit me up whn you find out about yours though.

oh i thought you had said the spring -wasnt- any shorter.

ok heres a theory. whenever you make a right turn, its a tighter radius than a right hand turn, correct? so that means its throwing more wieght onto the spring on the left side versus when you make a big wide and gentle left-hand turn and the wieght is only thrown slightly onto the right side. Eventually the left springs will just wear faster...

only problem is that this would happen to everyones vehicle not just us two suckers...

my alignment is schedueld for thrusday morning ill let you know by the afternoon.

ok so just got back from the mechanic. first of all, my upper control arm is bent to **** im gettin another.

second the guy said the lean is just overall fatigue. while the coil is a little more compressed on the left side, it doesnt account for the 1.5 inches of sag. basically he said its a little bit of fatigue in all the parts adding up to alot, and thats it. im not sure if i tihnk thats good or bad...

I got new springts and shoclks on it though. So it can't be sprign fatigue. So i'm gonna go with a bent arm or something. But right now i could care less i'm going to pick up my new toy in a week. Starts with V8 and ends with S10.
