I own a 93 W-250 4x4 with a 5.9 gas motor. I have gone to two different part houses and the dealer and they cant tell me if I need the heavy duty pump or the non heavy duty. The only thing the dealer said is maybe by the casting numbers on the pump. I don't like the confidence of maybe and have my truck down for a couple of days.

Any insight or help would be great.

Looked on NAPA's web site. They only list one PN each for the press. and return hoses so the fittings should be the same regardless. Only shows one gear box. Only oddity was an optional filtration system. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the only difference between the two would be the rated press. Stouter spring in the bypass on the HD.
