Default 83 d150 lift kit options

Ok, I dont want to go crazy here, but I plan on hauling my enduro to some off road places, and will use the truck for hunting. I just want a couple of inches and some bigger tires. I have seen spacers that will rase the front from 1.5' to 3' for the front springs, and a add a leaf for the rear. Has anyone here done this, and if so how happy were you with the setup? If I go with this setup, I want the truck to be level from front to back. How much lower usually is the front if the truck is stock? If I use the add a leaf, should I raise the fron up 3 inches? Like I said, I dont want to go crazy, and I dont want to spend much money. Just want a little more clearance, and a little bit of a meaner look.

Thanks CSD i was looking at the same thing so thanks for the post.

All I can say is I was going to go with the 3 inch on the front and 1.5 on back I think that should be about level.

Anybody?

I just finished installing a Rough Country 4 inch front leafs rear blocks in my W150. I ended up with a 5inch height gain up front and then had to add pirated leafs from my old front leaf packs to level the rear up to match the front height. Maybe something to consider your 3inch may end up greater. I don't know if this is common it was my first lift install.

Oh yeah was a fairly cheap acquisition and I am loving the results, cleared my 35x12.5x15ProComp ATs pretty well.

when i need some lift i usually hammer a 5-inch long 2x4 between to upper and lower control arms, and another between the rear springs and the frame.

When i need to low ride, I just smack them out.
