Will the motor out of a 1998 dodge 1500 work in a 91 d150?
Also I'm having some trouble in my transmission in my 91 when you accelerate there is a chattering sound i was told that it might have something to do with the linkage not being correct

anything can work if youve got time, tools, and money. It wont just "Drop-in" if thats what you mean. what do you mean by chattering, and wat transmission? 3speed, 3plus OD or 5 manual?

 

When you step on gas the truck shakes and makes a chattering type noise dont know how else to explain its a 3 speed auto

 

Shift it manually and see if it still does it.

 

Sounds like the overun clutch. Some call it the sprag. If it's a 904 pretty safe bet,they're a little weak for duty in a pickup.
