a little help =]
My 87 D 100 has the air pump and is not a california truck. Got it new in Illinois.
Could it possibly vary due to the gross weight rating of the truck? At one time I believe that a truck rated at 6100 lbs. or more didn't have as strict emission requirements as lighter duty ones.

I have not been working on my truck because my dad just bought a 98 1500 ram that needs TONS of attention, I'm replacing the rod bearings i should be done tomorrow i did four of them this afternoon...
I have also done a full tune up including spark plugs, wires, rotor, cap, pcv valve, oil, air filter but thinking of getting him an aftermarket intake of ebay b/c his is trashed, also chenged the oil on the diff and installed a new gasket it was leaking pretty bad....
I just love working on trucks! =]
