Has anyone installed aftermarket valve covers on a 318 carbed d150, any clearance issues, I'm looking at a NICE edelbrock set at oreillys for like 45 bucks i just wanna make sure they fit!!
On my 87 D 100 I had to remove the bolts holding master cylinder to firewall and swing the M/C brake booster assembly over a couple of inches to get the V cover on the left head.
My brother had a set of those Edelbrock covers on a truck he used to have. They have a very bad tendency to leak. If you use them, put a lot of rtv in the cover, and then put the gasket in it. That was the only way we ever found to keep them sealed. And I mean A LOT of rtv. Like 1/4" bead of it.
i changed the gaskets on mine and took picture all along the way. They are posted as a tutorial in the DIY section. The only pain in the *** was the air pump line, which i dont think your model has anyhow

I'm not talking about the gasket, i can do those with my eyes closed...
I just wanted to know if a set of edelbrock valve covers would fit.
Thanks for the imput, I will be getting them pretty soon!
- yea what i mean was that you should check around the the air pump lines if you have them, since it was clearance issue even with the stock covers (course, i guess i coulda just taken the lines out...)
