75cj5, don't know if this will help but I had an 88 Ramcharger W100 with the TBI 318. Ran smooth as silk. Started having engine stalling problems. It would just quit, maybe 10-15 minutes after start up cold, sooner if the motor was warm or on hot days. Could keep it running by throttling it good but it would run erratically. No codes. Began the parts/replace dance. Replaced both fuel filters, cleaned the injectors/throttle body, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, temp sensor. Stalling continued. Dumfounded, I spoke to a Chrysler Tech. He recommended installing a new Hall Effect Pick-up Assembly in the distributor. He said those can get corroded inside there and cause stalling, rough idle. When I opened up the distributor, the inside of the housing had a bit of flash rusting/corrosion going on in there and the pick-up contacts were deteriorated slightly. Don't know how the inside could get corroded like that since it's sealed up but I cleaned it up, installed the new pick-up, and problem solved. Napa carries them for under 30.00.

Thanks Tim, I'll run that by the mechanic and have him check that out.

Sorry there hasn't been an update for a while, my mechanics mother passed so the truck wasn't touched for a week and a half or so. I just got home with it and thought I'd update everyone.
The mechanic also struggled to find the issue, but narrowed it down to being fuel related. It got so bad that he couldn't crank the truck and get around to the front of it before it would die again. When it would run, it drove like it was on 4 cylinders. He put some gas in a water bottle and poked a hole in the end and sat it on the throttle body to drip in, and he said that was the first time he'd got it to stay running since messing with it. He said he just let it run idle for 10 minutes until the bottle finally went dry and the truck died. He also did a pressure test, as I did, and believed the fuel pump was fine. The injectors tested good when I checked resistance, so he pulled the injectors, sprayed them with carb cleaner and blew them out with compressed air. He said after doing that the truck ran fine.
I went over there last night to check it out and it started idling rough again so we repeated the cleaning of the injectors and blew them out and took it down the road and it did fine. When I went back to get it and pay him this morning it was back to acting up and idling rough and acting like its only running on 4 cylinders at times. Trying to be cheap and not buy injectors I drove the truck to the parts store and poured some Seafoam injector cleaner in it and went on a 20 minute drive at about 55mph to work it through the injectors. On my little drive the truck did great, but I'll have to see what happens after it sits. If it acts up again, I'm going to order new injectors.
I'll keep you guys posted. Sorry if I'm being too detailed, just want this to help someone else if they experience the same issues.

add stha injector cleaner that mizes with the gas. i wonder if the gas itself is a bit grimey - gunk in the tank messes up the injectors each time you clean em?
