Default wheel swap on a C200

Proud new owner of a 77 C200 (camper special) 440-1 and 727 auto with 85k on the clock (was the wife's uncles). Biggest "problem" I see at the moment (other than a boat load of "deferred" maintenance) is it has the 16.5 wheels under it and not only do I want something different but easier to get (rubber). I have an oppertunity to pick up a set of 2001 Ram 16" 8 lug stock chrome wheels. Will they bolt up to my existing 8 lug disk/drums?

thanks

Bill

Ask the 2nd Gen guys what the bolt circle/backspacing is. Another point to consider is the register in the center of the wheel, and whether or not it'll fit over the center of your rotors and hubs. I'm thinking the late wheels are metric, but don't hold me to it.

I believe Lugs is correct on the newer rims being metric. I recall a simular situation we had with a 67 power wagon that had 17.5 rims. We found that it was possible to run chevy 3/4 ton 16 rims, but I believe ford center holes are too small.
