Rim painting
I just finished re-painting my steel rims, I think they turned out well. I took them off and wire brushed the lose rust and paint on them, then sanded them down to make the paint adhere better. Two rims had been painted with black house paint, so they were a bit of a pain to clean up.
I hit them with two coats of Tremclad rust inhibiting primer, and then three coats of Duplicolor High Performance wheel paint in the metallic silver colour, I think they turned out great. Now if only I could find a set of dog dish hubcaps... which I may have found a set, hope the paint holds up. Any of you guys try this before, if so how did it turn out>?
