i have a 1988 dodge d100 with a 3.9fuel injected, what would i have to do to swap it out with a 318 that is carb

hmm...well the three nine is just a 318 with 2 cylinders missing. So that means the transmission should match up. the motor mounts -might- but you wont know untill you measure it
