Question Skyjacker lift install

I have had a 83 w150 passed down from my father down to me recently. I want to install the skyjacker 6" lift, with replacement leaf springs on the front and rear. Has anybody done this before? How hard is this going to be for someone who hasn't done anything more than an oil change to a car before? I know there will have to be a steering part installed, but skyjacker says an adjustable drag link and possibly even a drive shaft lengthening may be required. Would anybody know if its required or just recommended?

I'm pretty sure with 6 inches your going to have to lengthen the drive shafts, also I believe the pitman arm has to be replaced as well as the drag link. While I don't consider it a extremely difficult install, if you desire to do so yourself it would be advisable to have someone more knowledgable of mechanics close by to lend a hand if needed.

If you were using a 4" you wouldn't need a longer drive shaft, but with a 6" you may have to. The kit that you are talking about may have a steering block that will be taller than the stock block. That was in the system that I used from rough country. Over all it was a easy kit to install. The only hard part was getting those 23 year old bolts loose...lol
