I have a early 1980 Dodge D-150 Custom, with a soft suspension. I of course havent checked some things like what rear I have etc but I was curious if the axels/suspension off a 1977 Clubcab 3/4ton truck could be put on a 1979 1/2ton frame, then take my body off my 1980 and put it on the 79 frame with the 77 3/4 axels and suspension

I realize the driveshaft would be to long to transfer over to the regular cab so I was wondering if the driveshafts are universal or are they specific to the different rears.
