Default 1991 w150 loss of oil pressure

just noticed today i have almost no oil pressure, prolly happened a bit ago, have been paying more attention to coolant gauge because that was my problem but i fixed that now my oil is the problem, i also noticed that about 2-3 weeks ago it started smoking on some of the startups not all, then it would stop after a puff of smoke, i would assume its oil, any ideas, thanks

The puff of smoke on start up could be from worn valve guides. Does it puff each time you start it, or only if it has set for a while? As for the low oil pressure, you could have a sending unit going bad which is giving a false reading. Personally I run a mechanical gauge just because of that. You might consider getting an inexpensive mechanical gauge and hooking it up just to check the pressure.
