A friend of mine has a pristine '86 2wd 318 LWB Reg Cab for sale. He is asking 2800. Is there any way to consistently get 15 - 20 mpg in this truck driving mostly highway/interstate? Does this truck have points or electronic ignition? Thanks in advance for your help.

 

15. MAYBE. but if you got that, you would be exceeding the manufacturer's forcasted mileage. with cheap headers and gutted emissions you might do it.
