Default Ignition Problem

Hi,
today i changed the spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor.
in this case i f'd up with the wire from the cap to the spark plugs.
now the truck runs very rough and i can smell lot's of gas.
does anyone can help me out maybe with a drawing or pic
where which cable goes to which spark plug ?
It is a 1989 Dodge Ram with a 318.
Please, it is urged.

Starting with the #1 that is printed on the cap, and going in a clockwise direction, the firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 . If you stand in front of the motor, the first cylinder on the right side is #1 then 3 then 5 then 7. On the left side the front one is 2 then 4 then 6 then 8.
