MSD Ignition set up
Have a 1992 D250 with a 2 barrel carb and standar ignition system..... this is a carbed 360 engine, as far as I know this engine has the roller lifter set up as standar feature....
What I would liek to add is the MSD 6A box, blaster 2 coil and 8.5 mm wires...... Has someone already ran this set up? What are the benefits in real world? MPG? Aceleration?
Also and I do not know the razon why, this truck has the Motorcraft 2 barrel carb in it.... I would like to replace with the Carte termoquad carb in favor of better performance, what can you say about this carb? I do not know the CFM rate on it but has to bee way bigger than the small Motorcraft car......
Any idea on what will be the improvement using this set up would be a great,,,,,

Well to switch to a 4bbl of any type you're going to need to switch to a new intake manifold as well - either something like the mopar M1 dual plane or an edelbrock performer. There are 2 benefits to that - 1) weight saving. Drop 30+ lbs iirc and 2) much better mixture delivery for more power.
