Default How to tow car with D150

is there an ultra cheap simple way to tow a car using one of these trucks? There is a cheap datsun car I want to buy but im too cheap to have a tow truck move it to my house. Ive never towed anything in my life but figure this truck should do something useful for a change. The truck has a bumper hitch. Can I just use some kind of tow straps, or should I just give it up and hire a tow truck?

If you don't have far to go and have a second driver a chain or tow strap run through a piece of pipe is a safe alternative. A chain or tow strap alone can be dangerous if you have to stop suddenly but I have done it in a pinch. If you are planning to get up much speed anywhere a front wheel dolly is best.

i once saw a pickup pushing a little honda into the junkyard. dont know how far they went, but there was a dude in the honda steering and braking (i guess) while a the guy in the truck shoved him along.

It really will depend on the circumstances. How far? Main, interstate, or secondary roads? Traffic?
A ticket or accident will cost MUCH more than a tilt bed or tow truck.
I would at least borrow a trailer.

does the vehicle even run. if so mabe you should put some insurence on it and and drive it home. i did this with my truck when i first bought it. ussually your insurence company will give you temporary coverage for free.
