Default jack stands

i know this may be a crazy question but anyway i am asking.i need to jack the front of the truck up and i am going to use the jack stand.where is the best place to put the stand at.i am using a floor jack on the side about where the cab mounts to the frame.do i need to move the jack and put the stand in that area?the front of truck has been lowered also.thanks

The answer kind of depends on what you are working on and if it is a 4x4 or 4x2. (For Charlie: See I am learning. LOL)

it is a 2wd and i need to take the tire off to go get another one.i cant drive it now bc of the tire on it

A stand under the lower a-arm pivot will hold it quite nicely.

Shouldn't really jack on the side like that, it tends to twist things. Better to get around front and jack up the whole front, using that substantial cross member that is there. Then place TWO jackstands under it.

i cant jack it up from the front bc it is lowered and the jack will not work.i just jacked it up and used 2 jack stands,behind the jack and at the very front.

OK, next time nail a couple of 2 X 6's together and drive up on them. Now you CAN get your jack under there.
