1990 Ram W150 ECM issues? HELP!?

1990 Ram W150 ECM issues? HELP!?
Hi, I’m new here.
I have a friend who has a 1990 Ram W150. It’s got the 318 in it and is manual (I wanna say a 4 speed but I could be wrong? I don’t know much about cars…I wanna learn but I’m still kinda young and dumb
Anyways….he and I always kind of have a friendly (? Or somewhat cruel, depending on how you look at it) rivalry going on about our trucks. I have a 96 Bronco. We go back and forth, who could beat who, who gets better gas mileage, who could tow more, the other’s truck is a piece of junk, etc.
The latest was he told me (when he found out I was towing a trailer to the lake for a camping trip with a group of ppl we know) that I would “die on the way there. Because I’m a girl and automatically am not as good of driver, and because it’s a 2 lane road, and I would swerve towing a trailer the first time”.
Well….I towed to the lake, and made it there in one piece.
And made it back, too. But he didn’t. HIS TRUCK broke down and had to be towed 2 hrs home. Apparently the ECM is just fried. No big deal, right? I mean, I was replacing the ECM in my truck last week. Um….but they don’t make the ECM for the 90 ram anymore.
He doesn’t really know what to do at this point. He’s a very capable mechanic, but he’s really bummed. I don’t want to give up hope
, so I’ve been searching all over the internet trying to find one. No luck. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A SUPPLIER THAT HAS AN ECM FOR A 1990 DODGE RAM W150? This guy is 18, it’s his first car, and he’s in love with it. And I feel really aweful for him.
