Default 2nd or 3rd gen bumper on a '90 RAM

Just a quick question: I'm replacing my old worn out step bumper. I like the looks of the newer bumpers better and they're more aerodynamic than the old square-jawed step bumper that came on the truck. How hard is it to make the swap? Thanks for any info!

that "aerodynamic" bumper you see, isn't the bumper. Bumpers are not made of plastic....but the facsia is. Thats the part you're looking at. behind that is the steel bumper.

The 1990 ram front end is flat and rectangular....the 94+ ram bumper is nowhere near straight enough to fit and it would look pretty oddball.
