Default how much atf?

gotta replace the filter on a 1990 ram 1500 w/5.2 and auto. guessin it's a 727, how many quarts of fluid do I need to pick up?

first, a little quirk I have... pre-94 they were 150, not 1500.
second, I've got a little more than 4 quarts in mine, I believe.

if all else fails, put three in, let it sit a few minutes, check it cold... if the level is pretty close to the minimum line, crank it up and check it hot

EDIT:
I just remembered, I have an after-market transmission oil cooler installed, so not sure what the differance in volume is between mine and stock
