Default 92\94 2wd ram transmission

Ok new to the whole dodge thing but the transmission in my truck needs rebuilt only has first and reverse, my truck is a 92 with the electronic overdrive, now i found one out of a 94 and dude said it had the button on dash for overdrive like mine just wondering if they are the same being electrical connections, i know every car manufacturer likes to change it up every year. Any help greatly appreciated..thanks

Your tranny may only need the bands adjusted.

Thats what i have been told, I know a guy that deals with strictly dodge trucks, i think he already adjusted them, and his attempt was no succsess. I did look at a 94 dodge truck this morning and transmissions look the same just gotta check all connections.

Look on the flange just above the tranny pan on the drivers side. This has all the info to identify your tranny and the replacement. You will find 3 sets of numbers. First is the part number, second is the build date, and third is the serial number. The first numbers should be the same.
