Default dim lights-bright lights

I have noticed last few weeks when i start the truck door maybe open and the inside light is dim then give it some gas it gets brighter. Is it the alternator, belts etc? I am planning to replace the belts in a few weeks. Thanks

Alternator, battery, or a bad ground.

Check your connections first. If everything is nice and tight and the wires look good, put a multimeter across your battery when the engine is running. Should read about 14.5vdc.

If THAT is ok... then might be a battery?

OK then I'd check grounds and check the alternator with a multimeter.
