Default Aftermarket Tach on '87

I'm trying to wire an aftermarket tach into my '87 D100 5.2L and I'm not sure where to get my signal from. I have a Haynes manual, but short of reading through every wiring diagram...?

Negative side of the coil if memory serves me right.
