Default 1990 w250 trans rebuild?

Ok as you guys know I have a 90' w250. Well Im working on rebuilding front end(bushings, ball joints etc...) and i noticed before I parked it that my trans was slipping and hesitating. Well its the orig. trans and motor from 20 years ago. So my question is what should I do about my tranny. Rebuild it or buy a newer better one. and where can I find a rebuild kit for it/better one?

Have you tried adjusting the bands? These trannys are awfully good if you take care of them. Mine is a year older than yours and still going strong.

No not yet and see the problem is that when i got my truck i had to put 4qts of tranny fluid in her she was that low. So i think there was some internal damage that may have occurred.
