I had a 90 RC that would just intermittently quit, wait a few minutes and it would restart. Took me almost a year to finally replace the hall effect unit in the disti. NEVER had another problem afterward. Just an FYI, this 318 ran so smooth, you could place a full cup of water on the air cleaner and it would not spill any.

You might have something! After probably twenty successful starts, today she died while I was driving. I guess it's time to turn it over to a shop.

Did you ever figure out what the actual issue was? My 1992 W150 is having the same symptoms. Thanks.
