Cool Ideas for a new truck

i have a 1990 dodge ram 150 2wd swb with 108,000 miles. currently it is being shipped from oregon. what should i do to it? is the TBI worth keeping? the motor was just rebuilt 12,000 miles ago, and i work at a race engine shop so there is no limitations to what i can do. Ideas? thanks

No limitations? New Hemi? V10?

Realistically? 440ci maybe? 5.9 Magnum?

to be honest I think you should swap in an ls2 6.0l aluminum block with a cam in the 228duration at .050 .580 lift 114 lsa range. you will get near 400hp at the wheels and still maintain 16-17ish mpg depending on how heavy your foot is.

much cheaper and efficient then any big block, v10, or 360 for that mater.

patc makes adaptor plates.

or you can go with a 6 speed manual t56 behind that with 4.10 gears and still get even better mpg.

this motor and tranny setup will also take over 180lbs off your truck.

LOL, very sorry man, I kinda expected this kind of response. I did the 440 swap, I also did everything with the ls1, ls2 and aftermarket parts, If i were to do It all over again I would but a ls1 into my 88 dodge ram verses the 440 and edelbroke 84cc heads......Do you want to buy my stuff???? So I can put a motor that actually runs into my truck. I am not bias....I love hybrids, If I could I would but a 04 cobra motor into a camaro, a ls2 into a 88 dodge ram, a 440 into a 67 mustang and call it a ****..mopar and ford..LOL.

Do what you want, I was just giving my opinion,

If you have any questions on any of my setups feel free to ask, I have lots of info and good advise.

First of all, tell us more about your truck, weight, hp goals, mpg goals, pics would be nice, tire sizes? 1/4 expectations? I have done alot of this so let me know if I can help......

....sorry about the ls2 ........MY Dad would also flip if I but a lsX in my dodge ram, but It would have got better mpg and power...........
