Its an 88 with a 318... I had to walk away before I kicked my foot through the grill.

I changed out the cap, rotor, plugs and wires. It starts up fine but when i give it gas to go it dies. We just had the trans rebuilt last week and I really hope its not that.

Im gonna go check and make sure I've got the wires in the right order on the cap, the new one didnt have a "1" on it to know where to start so I went off of memory.

any ideas?

did it start to die before you did a tuneup? the firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. could also be a timing problem if you didn't mess up the firing order.
