Default 413 swap?

A friend of mine has an Industrial 413 he is willing to sell with a 727 for $900. I want throw it in my '91 150 and then rebuild the stock 318. Anyway, I have heard it may be more trouble than its worth. I have heard the larger water pump requires a body lift, the timing is gear to gear and is nothing but headaches, that the engine has super low compression but cast rods (so added boost is a no go) and that its got frankenstein intake and exhaust manifolds that are hard/impossible to replace. It does only have like 50,000 miles though. So is it easier, better, more economical and more practical just to find a 413 out of a car or a 440? Thanks for any help.
