I have a problem with the igniton in my truck , we replaced the ignition switch and that didnt fix it, i have power all the way up to the switch but it wont start, i have it hotwired from the harness that leads into the ignition switch .... what is my problem... could it be the parking sensor on the tranny?????

Could be the neutral interlock on the tranny/steering column wherever it is. Have you confirmed a lack of voltage going to the starter solenoid?

i had an old chevy with that same problem. it turned out to be the cap on the starter was loose. not sure if dodge is similar, but it wouldn't hurt to check.

Do you get ANY power thru your ignition? What isn't working, just the starter, or are you not getting any power to anything.

If your shift linkage is not adjusted correctly in relation to the neutral safety, it'll cause the starter not to turn, but you will have power to everything else. If you have no power anywhere to anything, it's either the switch or the column wiring. Tilt columns will often wear the wires and cause them to break or short inside the column. If you have no power going to anything after the switch, I'd check those wires.
