Default which trans fluid change should do

I am planning to change the fluid(a shop will). Is it better to do all of fluid or just the pan. I have a leak and have leaked some/most out. Thanks

From what ive been told (by my trusted auto tranny mechanic) only replace the fluid that is let out from dropping the pan. if it has been working with the old fluid for years then you change all the fluid with new it will wear the trans aggressivly.

when you take it to the shop they should tell you the same thing but i would ask them as your best bet.

It has hardly any fluid in it when in gear. In park/off it shows to the L mark. I guess i will have just have the pan done. It is cheaper so that will help me out all so

To get a accurate check on the trans. fluid, start it up, run through all gears ending in neutral and check with engine running in neutral.

I did run it in each gear and it shows hardly any fluid.
