318 > 360 swap questions

318 > 360 swap questions

Looking at the possibility of swapping out the 318/904 combo for a 360/727 from my 82' D250....

Firstly is it an easy enough swap ? what else would i need to change. ??

Nothing? The motors are identical besides the displacement I believe. Pull one out and drop the other in.

As for the tranny? I'm not sure.

swap

I just swapped a 360/904 combo to a 318/727. everything was the same except the length of the driveshaft. My 727 had a longer tailshaft. easy swap!
