Default popping and surging

my 90 with a tbi 318 is surging and popping at low rpm's. if i keep it in first till 25 and 2nd till 45 it won't do it. i have to kick off the overdrive until i hit about 60 or it will do it. what could be causing this?? it was fine till it was parked for about two weeks and it just started when it was driven the first time again. could it be the fuel pressure regulator? i checked for leaks and there are none. i checked my spray pattern on my injectors and they are fine. please help!!!

Mine does the same thing if I just hop in and go but if I sit and let it idle and warm up it runs fine.

Default popping and hard surging fixed

the cause of the problem was found out today!! it was a bad connection on one of the wires that runs off the battery. i found it because i don't have a battery holder and it came off the plate and killed the truck. the terminals stayed together but one wire with an actual connector coming off the battery had disconnected (sp?). i reconnected (sp?) that and put the battery back in place and it runs like a champ again!

thank you for the help!!

dodgeman 707,

Sounds like we have identical problems. any idea what has caused yours or are you just living with it. I have a 360 and I'd be ok with living with it except that it seems to be lacking on power. Any suggestions on what it might be? its been driving me crazy for over a year now!
