Window and Door issues
First post, first dodge, first truck and know nothing about fixing cars...
with that said...
Anyone know where I can buy the plastic caps that keep the door lock "linkages" held on. I need 8, (exterior handle to lock assembly, keylock to lock assembly, unlock/lock pr push/pull to lock assembly and interior door handle to lock assembly)... I also may need a new lock assembly as it won't open from outside. The black rubber thingy doesnt push the top metal peice far enough to disengage from the frame.
I also need the metal frame with the huge gear that holds that window in place and allows it to be rolled up and down.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

The caps are available at the parts store in the help section.
I am not sure what black rubber thingy you are talking about. LOL. Are you talking about the key lock that locks and unlocks the door or the push button on the handle that actually opens the door?
The metal frame with the huge gear is called a window regulator and should be available at most parts dealers (special order). If the regulators are bad, and you have ever wanted them, you might think about upgrading to electric windows with some of the new replacement kits that have recently become available.

thanks for the help...
I found the caps but they were in a combo pack with the 1 I need and 4 I don't for $4 or $32 bucks for the 8 I need, I'll look at more stores that was at auto zone.. what's the technical name? is it door lock rod clips?
Also I found the window regulator for $45 but it says 1978, the online chat
said it won't fit but another site advised 73-78 was same.
The window reg looks like 1 peice with 3 screws holding it on. I can't tell if it includes the crank part ( not the handle) or not from the photos online but I need that too as mine are stripped. What's that peice called if not included?
thanks for your replies
