Took some pics of the engine bay and I took a short video of it running and being revved up a little tonight.

I will have to post the video to Youtube later on.....

for now, here are some pics.....

Hmmmm..
Looks nice.

About how much should it put out?

Those left bank plugs look like they'd be a pain to change though!

You win at Dodge TBIs. This gives me hope that a turbo TBI build can actually be feasible. I can't get over how unique this is.

I'm probably not the only one who was skeptical: the title was flashy, the goal was lofty, most of us probably thought we'd never hear from you again after two years.

Thank you for proving us wrong. This is the coolest thing ever.

Not sure yet about power output yet, but I plan on installing an IAT for monitoring the temps during tuning/testing....

I just ordered the METCO 2.6 inch blower pulley yesterday to try and up the boost a few more PSI....

The truck runs remarkably better than just naturally aspirated at only 5 psi of boost, even being too rich...

Those plugs are actually really easy to access, as part of the design was to make sure of that for the headers and spark plugs...

Haha, that sultan emoticon is hilarious!!

Well, the TBI setup definitely has a few large issues to overcome, namely with the lack of additional accelerative enrichment fuel and no one willing to divulge a way to tune it!

I will take some more pics later of the most important parts of getting the setup to work right.... It had such a horrible flat spot and stumble when you matted the gas, that it would fall on its nose or cough and sputter and eventually catch up, even more pronounced with the bigger 360 throttle body and manifold....

Since I couldn't tune any more fuel into the computer programming because I am effectively locked out, I had to come up with a mechanical solution for fuel enrichment for acceleration or instant throttle position changes/high demand loads.... This is what You see if You look closely next to the throttle body and under the fuel bowl. We modified the throttle body and installed the guts of a Holley carburetor accelerator nozzle system to squirt down into the throttle bores. The pump diaphragm is actuated by the Holley pump cam on the throttle body linkage. The diaphragm squirts the high pressure pump shot of fuel through a #3 braided steel/Teflon line to the squirter nozzle housing on the throttle body. The holley fuel bowl with a float in it is the fuel reservoir for the diaphragm housing to pump from. The final fuel return line always has just 1-3psi on it, and it feeds to a Holley regulator to feed the float bowl. We tried running the regulator straight to the diaphragm, but it was pushing the check valve on the pump nozzle open, even being spring loaded....

This accelerator enrichment system was THE number one thing we did to make the truck 100% drivable again, with no more coughs, hiccups, or flat spots, and the credit is all MINE!!!! hahaha.... really

The Vortech Super FMU allowed an adjustable fuel pressure to raise the static pressure somewhat as needed when tuning for N/A FUEL needs....

I am working on getting a lower fuel pressure static number, and trying to figure out what spring to use in the regulator, as it was designed to run high pressure MPI injection....

For now, the computer is trimming the pulse width on the 360 injectors enough to maintain a 13.5:1 AFR at idle.... Running 20 Psi of fuel pressure at 20 inches of vacuum.... Static fuel pressure goes up to 30psi, and 43psi at 5pounds of boost with the current 2.5:1 fuel disc...

It runs 14.3-14.9:1 AFR while cruising and at part throttle... So economy doesn't suffer even at higher PSI static.... It makes the boost transition a little easier also, so we may have to leave it alone if it doesn't like the new lower pressure static spring swap I plan.

The pressure went up from 22psi static with the stock TBI fuel pump to 30psi with a Walbro high pressure 255 in tank that we installed last Friday.

I don't see why a turbo TBI blow through setup would be any different, except better in some ways and maybe not quite as responsive for boost as a supercharger. My dad wanted instant boost, and I bought the used supercharger for $200, so what the heck, right?

I think the TBI can take boost fine with these mods listed above, but I don't think it could take much of a cam change....

My next adventure will be working on the TPS tuning and trying to get it to go to WOT open loop tuning as quick as possible for the boost transition.

Finally got this video to load on photobucket... I know it is simple and short and doesn't show much..... the wide band AFR was still pretty low because the engine wasn't fully warmed up yet, and it takes a full 180 degree water temp to get to 13.5:1 idle AFR...

Also, the truck was dirty and has loads of junk in the seat.... don't mind all that stuff please!! haha

That is flat out awesome. Well done, man. Much like what wontaccepthis said, we see alot of guys talk a big game or make crazy cool ideas, that never take flight. Its great to see one with some follow-through. If we ever meet up, Im buying you a beer.
