Ballast resistor location and grille assembly
I am restoring an 82 dodge d150 with a slant six. Can anyone tell me where I can find the ballast resistor? I do not have power brakes.
I am also interested in finding a new grill assembly but can only find the insert from aftermarket parts suppliers

usually the ballast resistor is bolted to the firewall somewhere. it is small so it is not as noticable in some trucks. i don't think you will find a brand new grille for your truck. you will most likely have to call up some junk yards looking for parts.

I picked up a full grille assembly at napa, it was a decent price.
The only problem is that the outer trim isn't chrome like the stock ones, but the center insert is chrome (never seen this on a 1st gen)
