switch on fuse panel

Default switch on fuse panel

can someone tell me why there is a toggle switch on my fuse panel 88 d100 5.2

Is it actually part of the fuse panel or is it added afterward. I cannot think that it would be stock. Maybe a picture so to show us where .

ok here are some pic i traced the wire down and they go into a connector just above the steering colum

maybe some sort of ignition bypass? im going to move the switch both ways and see if it does anything and ill post what i find i will try to find my flash light and get a pic of the connect the wires lead to and thanks for the help if im looking at this right the yellow wire is for the ignition or starter

Looks like an anti theft switch.
